Here's another RC kit based on the MB-01 chassis - this time with long wheelbase and front-engine drive (FF) like the real Golf, one of Volkswagen's most iconic cars. Since its first appearance in 1974, the Golf has continued to evolve and dominate the compact car category worldwide. In 1986, the GTI 16V was added to the second-generation Golf II range, launched in 1983. Equipped with a 1,781cm3 in-line 4-cylinder engine with double overhead camshafts and 16 valves, the specially prepared car took part in world rallies, becoming class champion in 1986.
