Rustler comes outfitted with factory-installed Extreme Heavy Duty suspension components for ultimate strength and durability. The rear axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Durable One-Piece Camber Links
Durable one-piece camber links are perfect for bashing because they maintain proper suspension geometry and never require adjustments. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they won't pop off.
Alias® Tires and Wheels
Rustler rides on aggressive 2.8″ black and chrome 6-spoke wheels. Alias step-pin rear tires and ribbed front tires keep Rustler firmly planted on extreme off-road terrain.
Included Optional Pinion Gear
Rustler reaches its blistering 35+ mph top speed on-road using the optional 28-tooth pinion gear (included) and 7-cell 8.4 V battery pack. Out of the box, the installed 16-tooth pinion gear is just right for all-around, on or off-road action.
Easy Access Battery Compartment
Rustler’s battery hold-down accommodates either 6 or 7-cell flat battery packs or 7-cell hump packs for maximum versatility. An optional battery expansion kit Part 3725X (sold separately) accommodates oversized batteries.
Rustler Clipless Body Latches
Rustler's innovative clipless body uses secure latches for quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift to access the chassis in just seconds.
Molded Body Reinforcements
Rustler’s clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, Rustler’s body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.
Tube-Style Front Bumper
Rustler’s rugged tube-style front bumper helps ward off crash damage to protect the chassis. The bumper also features bosses to mount accessory LED lights, parts 3791 & 2263 (sold separately).
Brushless Ready Magnum 272™ Transmission
Rustler's Magnum 272 transmission features metal gears riding on ultra-smooth sealed ball bearings. Combined with the smooth 48-pitch gears, power transfers quietly to the durable telescoping U-joint driveshafts. The sealed gearbox protects the transmission components from dirt and rocks. Best of all, the Magnum 272 is built Traxxas Tough™ to handle massive brushless power without the need for costly upgrades.
