Molded body reinforcements

Raptor R’s clipless body latches are neatly integrated into molded body reinforcements that look great and protect the body. Unlike traditional posts and clips, raptor R’s body reinforcements spread impact forces over a wide area to minimize the risk of pull-through damage.

Impact absorbing bumpers

Raptor R’s front and rear bumpers look as good as they perform. In addition to their integrated LED lighting, the bumpers are built Traxxas-tough™ to absorb impact damage and give the truck a menacing stance.

4mm Steel turnbuckles

Raptor R uses the same steel 4mm turnbuckles developed for the slash® 4x4. Broad flat sections make toe and camber adjustments easy with the included wrench. The fully captured rod ends take a beating and won’t pop apart during rigorous off road pounding

Extreme duty suspension components

Raptor R comes outfitted with the Extreme heavy duty upgrade kit already installed for ultimate strength and durability. The axle carriers C-hubs, and steering blocks are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.

Modular chassis

Raptor R’s all new modular chassis features front and rear bulkheads that remove easily with just a few screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you’ll have full access for easy service and adjustment.

Optimum-geometry steering with integrated servo saver

A dua bellcrank design pivots on rubber sealed ball bearings for smooth action in the harshest conditions. The integrated cam-type servo saver protects the servo gears from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision.

Torque control™ slipper clutch

Raptor R’s patented slipper clutch design uses semi-metallic friction pads and finned aluminium pressure plate to dissipate heat and provide consistent traction control. The slipper is easily adjusted without disassembly or removal and the unique 3-pad design is proven tough in Traxxas’ most powerful vehicles.

Larger diameter BFGoodrich® tires

Oversize BFGoodrich® all terrain T/A® KO2 are 5mm taller than standard slash tires to replicate look and stance of the full-size Raptor R’s meaty 37” treads. The replica Ford option wheels with beadlock trim feature the same 2.2” outer and 3” inner diameter as conventional short course truck wheels.
