Team Result at the CML Off Road Masters 2016

Last Sunday I started my 2016 season at the ‪#‎CMLOffRoadMasters2016‬. It was my first race on carpet since 2013, and the very first with the ‪‎22SCT‬.

The track setup by Buggy Club Luparien was really great with a lot of good jumps requiring a good flow, and the whole organization was top notch. I started the practice session with my standard astro setup with harder front springs and front anti-roll bar, and just had to lower ride height to get a fast and easy truck. It would allow me to top controlled practice and the 3 qualification rounds and claim TQ.

In first final I blew it with a mistake in first corner and several incidents putting me 12th and last. I managed to come back to fifth with very good lap times. Second final was much better with a start to finish lead. Last final was decisive and despite I pulled away and had the win in reach, one turnbuckle decided it would not happen and popped out entering the banking.

In the end I would end up fourth, disappointed but happy with the raw speed I had. Congrats to the podium finishers Philippe Hautecoeur, Laurent Halluin and Cyril Saussez. See you next year.
