EPP / EPO Foam

Cast or carved models in a densely expansion foam. The dense polystyrene (EPS) that was used in the beginning of the aircraft in foam fall down into small balls and was so very fragile and difficult to repair. This was replaced by EPO foam (Expanded PolyOlefin) and EPP (Expended PolyPropylene), which on the one hand "just" break apart without splashing and therefore easier to recover back their original form and, on the other hand, are more easily if they are subject to moderate deformities caused by manipulations or shocks. The models that are produced are not completely unbreakable,but the EPA and EPP foam make the models very resistant against wrong treatments.
