The radio controlled submarine can be submerged in 2 cases:The simplest way to plunge is by speed, with fins along the hull used like wings on an airplane. For the more complex models the is a pump-ballast system to variate the weight of the boat like the real submarines. The submarine kits are using electric engines and are mostly used in swimming pools, there where its still possible to see the boat for steering.
Please notice that the submarines are a cotegory which uses 35, 40, 41 of 72 MHz, 2,4GHz isn't easy to go trough the water.
