Mini Z 1/28

The MiniZ are 1:28 scaled radio controlled cars, designed and build by the Japanese company Kyosho. On the first sight people often think these are considered toys, as the chassis has a lot of plastic components, but it is a dignified share of radio control and one of the cheapest categories. Most of the times the cars are sold RTR (Ready To Run) with a basic transmitter (Pistol type with a steering wheel on the side) only batteries have to be added to the kit. Same as in the bigger models, the MiniZ is equiped with "all functions" (moving front and back, turning left and right it even has an electronic brake) all controls are fully proportional thanks to an integrated electronic speed controller on the receiver board. A suspension also has been build into the chassis, inspired on some 1/12 scale "Group-C models" with a spring suspension system in the front and a flexible H or T shaped plate that connects the chassis to the rear axle. The motorisation is done by a 130-size small electric motor or a brushless motor and the transmission has a gear- or ball-differential. All parts can be replaced and also upgraded in most cases. Most of the upgrades are done to the tires, motor, FET's, ball bearings, motor mount, differential and the controls.
